My Story

I’ve always been fascinated by the big life questions of meaning and purpose – but the insights I discovered when working with my own debilitating panic turned this search for meaning into a gut-level punch of insight, awe, and big “aha’s”.

Panic is a do-or-die proposition.  The “doing part” requires a devotion to freedom, without which nothing will likely change.  Freedom requires surrendering to reality as it presents itself from moment to moment…without judgment, criticism, expectation, or attachment to the outcome.  Simple, but not so easy.

The real work began once I experienced this insight, even though the internal battle raged on for quite a while.  The difference was that now I could observe the battle without getting caught up in its shenanigans.  This was a game-changer.  Hard-core fear and resistance, subconscious imprints, and physical holding patterns gradually morphed into teachers and allies – who then began teaching me how to do the real work.

I can’t teach you what only you can discover within. But I can use what I know to guide and support you, making it easier, faster, and more enjoyable to find YOUR freedom and uniqueness. This is my work; there’s nothing else I’d rather do.

About the Work

This is a “WORK-IN”. It is experience driven,  not theory-derived. In an odd way, it addresses the growing impact of social media overload and the proliferation of online gurus, sales pitches, and an endless array of summits, all vying for your attention. In fact, it’s an antidote to distraction and the habit of seeking answers outside yourself.

So, what’s different about this work?

If I were to sum up the essence of this work in two words, it would be – just notice. Sounds simple, and it is; it’s just not easy. Here’s why. When you slow down, intending to notice the simple neutral state of reality just as it is, your mind will take over with a blistering commentary about everything under the sun. These thoughts will be so captivating that you’ll be sucked down the rabbit hole, reviewing the past, predicting the future, reliving old wounds, making plans and comparing yourself to others – and not in a very nice way.

This work is the antidote to all that chatter. It is a slow, focused, simple practice that dismantles the primacy of thought and meaning-making by shifting attention to the body and the subtle energy dynamics beyond our physical limits. Using simple yoga poses, breathwork, deep relaxation, compassionate inquiry, and visualization, you are progressively guided to notice and release your reactive conditioning, restrictive patterns, subconscious imprints, and incessant mind chatter.

 

As you gain proficiency with this, the mind relaxes, the body releases tightly held tension, and new life-enhancing patterns spontaneously and effortlessly emerge. No extra force required.

These changes are nearly imperceptible at first, which is why so few people engage in this work. But I can tell you with a lot of confidence that, over time, the changes are profound, lasting, and far more significant than you could have imagined.
